The QuickBooks Connect conference is available in several locations worldwide. In 2017, accountants and small business owners could participate in QuickBooks Connect in the USA, Australia, and Canada. The Xero Team took good care of all of us at Xerocon Austin too. The weather in Austin took an unexpected turn the week of the conference. On Wednesday it rained and I was so happy that one of Xero Team members was there to assist me as I arrived, with an umbrella in hand. Xero rose to the occasion and actually had blankets and additional heaters delivered to the conference to make things a bit more comfortable for all of the attendees.

Keri is a former Capital One executive and emphasized the need for businesses to have advisors. Statistics as displayed by Keri, showed that 85% of businesses survive over five years with an advisor whereas 65% fail without one and poor financial management. This year will be jam-packed with amazing speakers, networking opportunities galore, and, of course… BBQ! Since Xerocon is being held in the barbecue xerocon austin capital of the world, I’ll be carrying sauce in my purse in the event of a brisket emergency. Thursday — The second day of the conference was a very busy day for all of us, as we met with some CPA firms and entertained some questions when it comes to Xero conversions as well as bookkeeping outsourcing. Glad to see that most accountants nowadays are open-minded when it comes to these kinds of topics.
